School upgrade
During the holidays all sewer lines were renewed and the Primary toilet block completed.
All students are sharing this block while the K-2 toilets are being completed. We also have a new, very clinical Sick Bay and staff toilets (one block completed). Work is planned to be finished by early September. Our water tanks are installed have been collecting rain for some time, and the water is used to flush the toilets.
Landscaping on Doncaster Avenue will be done next school holidays (to minimise disruption) and will match the Bowral Street/Doncaster Avenue corner already completed.
Our Solar grant application is on track. More news later.
Work on the new Library & classrooms (on the site of the OOSCH centre, 3N room & Music Room) has been delayed and is now planned to begin in September/October.
I have been informed the work will take approximately 12 months.
The students’ commonsense and adaptability have been impressive and I must congratulate them on their mature and sensible behaviour while work has been in progress.
